Wall calendars 2021

At our request, Venerable Sabchu Rinpoche has summarized in this calendar the teachings on "Mönlam" or "Aspiration Practice" (Skt. Praṇidhāna; Tib. སྨོན་ ལམ་) that he delivered during the five-day Mönlam celebration in December 2020 at our NALA center in Prague. Our goal was to create a calendar on the theme of Aspirational Practice, and this was made possible with the support of our excellent teacher Sabchu Rinpoche, and we would like to thank him from the bottom of our hearts for his help and his concise, month-by-month presentation of the theme.

The photographs "the best of Kagyu Monlam" were taken during this important event in Bodhgaya in 2016-2019. The author of the photographs is traditionally Topka Korlo, our close friend and world renowned photographer and artist.

Following the advice of the book "Bodhicharyavatara - Introduction to the Path to Awakening" by the Buddhist teacher Śāntideva (8th century CE), we dedicate the merit from the printout of this calendar to an unlimited number of sentient beings to unleash their unlimited Buddha potential. May the light shine on their path until the time of their complete liberation. So we will donate the proceeds from the sale to the 17th Karmapa to support Kagyu Mönlam and other activities in 2021

Unfortunately, Tibetan lunar astrological data is not included this year. Since the traditional Kagyü Monlam was not held in Bodhgaya, where Tibetan lunar calendars are distributed every year, due to the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, we have not been able to obtain the data for the calendar from the Eastern astrologers yet. If we receive them, we will incorporate them into the diary and will inform you of its sale in due course.

We hope that even without the lunar data, you will enjoy this calendar, which contains short teachings, as much as we do.
