In the words of the wonderful Eva Corbett, who wrote our introduction to the calendar: "People in the East appreciate it when we Westerners make the effort and travel so far to visit sacred pilgrimage sites. Walking along dirt roads among the remains of the masonry of the ancient university of Nálanda or reciting together wishing with the Karmapa monks under the bodhi tree can become a life-changing event, where you can feel that what unites us all, regardless of social class or nationality, across centuries and millennia is the same motivation: bodhichitta - the desire to achieve enlightenment for the sake of oneself and others. To save what we perceive as "our world" with the most open and sensitive heart possible, guided in one's introspection by the wisdom of the Shakya sages."

With the permission of the Venerable Lama Sabchu Rinpoche, we were able to use the knowledge from his online teaching "Virtual Pilgrimage", which became the basis of all the texts of this calendar. May it serve to establish contact with a time long past, to which we are grateful heirs, and may it inspire immeasurable goodness.

The calendar has 14 months (from January this year to the end of February 2025).
